Leopard Print & Half Moons - Nail Art

Here is my nail art post that was supposed to go up yesterday but then I fell asleep! Whoops!

I was inspired by this Pin I have on my Nail Inspiration Board on Pinterest.
Unfortunately after spending most of the morning and the afternoon up until now searching I cannot find where the original image came from to link back to, so if anyone knows please let me know so I can add the link.

*Edited to add link - HERE*

For these I started with two coats of Barry M Black on the Thumb, Middle and Ring fingers and two coats of OPI Skull & Glossbones on the Index and Pinky. I then free handed the half moons with Barry M Black and used  Models Own Bronze Rage and Barry M Black again for the leopard print. I added the Swarovski Crystals (HERE) on to a wet layer of China Glaze No Chip Top Coat and then finished the all black nails with a coat of Seche Vite. I didn't topcoat over the crystals as I didn't want them to lose their sparkle but they are still going strong 24hrs later!

The New 31 Day Nail Challenge - Day 8 - Duochrome, Flakie or Holo

Today is Day 8 of the challenge and we had the choice of Duochrome, Flakie or Holo.
I chose Duochrome as I only have one holo and one one flakie. This is simply not good enough, I will be remedying that ASAP.

On to the nails.

When I walked the Mini Tips to school this morning the weather was beautiful with a lovely blue sky, but by the time it came to taking these photographs it was back to dull grey clouds. Not the most ideal conditions for photographing duochrome nail polish but I did what I could.
Roll on Summer!

For this design I started with two coats of Barry M Black on the pinky and index fingers, and one coat of Barry M Matt White on the rest. Then over the white I used two coats of OPI Skull & Glossbones.
Next I decided to use three of Rimmel Londons Metal Rush polishes (Review and Swatches here) in Purple Reign, Royal Blue and Gold Save The Queen for a gradient on the pinky and ring fingers and leopard spots on the other three then used Barry M Black to finish of the leopard print.

I love these so much I really don't want to take them off tomorrow!

Tomorrows challenge is Saran Wrap which I have never tried before!
Can't wait to see how that turns out, and don't forget to take a look at what the other ladies taking part have been coming up with!

31 Day Nail Challenge - Day 13 - Animal Print

I'd just like to say first of all a huge thank you to anyone who has voted for my nails so far in the Makeup Savvy Challenge!
My Tangled nails were picked as one of Fee's three favorites and I am absolutely thrilled! Although they are not my favorites from the challenge they were the ones which were the most challenging for me took the longest, a good three hours was spent on them! So for anyone else to see the effort it took is a huge compliment!

Now the challenge is over I can get back to the 31 Day Nail Challenge I was plodding my way through.
I am now on Day 13 which is Animal Print.

I have done these nails before but as I wasn't blogging back then I only have a crappy phone pic of them, so I decided to recreate them for today's challenge.

I used 2 coats of Barry M Matt White as a base then Barry M Pure Turquoise and Shocking Pink for the gradient. For the middle of the leopard spots I used China Glaze Beach Cruise-R and Spilsh Splash then Barry M Black for the outside and Zebra Stripes. Then I added a bit of Models Own Juicy Jules through the stripes for a bit of sparkle.

Makeup Savvy 15 Day Nail Challenge - Day 8 - Leopard Print

Day 8 of the 15 Day Nail Challenge is Leopard Print.
Who doesn't love leopard print nails? It's quick and easy to do and always looks good, plus there are endless colour combinations to try! After yesterdays neon nails I decided I'd use some pastel shades that I have been neglecting recently.

The colours I used are Barry M Berry Ice Cream, Mint Green, Strawberry Ice Cream, Blueberry Ice Cream and Peach Melba. Then I used GOSH Gold and Barry M Black for the leopard spots.
