Today's challenge is the one I have been looking forward to the most.
I really enjoy doing gradient nails!
I knew I wanted to do a rainbow gradient but I didn't know if I wanted to use pastels or brights.
Once pastel had been settled on I decided to try doing the gradient across the nails instead of down the nails and I'm really pleased with the outcome.
The colours used are, Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream, Peach Melba, Lemon Ice Cream, Blueberry Ice Cream, Berry Ice Cream and Essie Mint Candy Apple. Then I used China Glaze Fairy Dust glitter over the top to give it a bit of sparkle.
♥ A ♥
How did you get the transition between the colours so neat and smooth? Looks amazing! :)

Thank you, I used a damp kitchen sponge and painted the polish straight on to it then dabbed it back and forth on the nail, I'm going to do a tutorial for it soon x
DeleteThis is a gorgeous design, how do you get the colours to blend so neatly and evenly, when I tried it ended up as a big splodge hahah would love to be able to recreate this design.
ReplyDeleteThank you, It's done with a kitchen sponge with the nail polish painted straight on then applied to the nails, I'll be doing a tutorial soon :) x

Thank you Emily! :) x
DeleteThis is so pretty! I can't wait for the tutorial, I really love it, gorgeous x
ReplyDeleteI love your nails! There always so clean and smooth. I was wondering how long it takes for you to paint them? Cause I never have the patience to wait for them to dry complitely and I end up messing usually at least one nail. do you use any fast dry drops or polishes?
ReplyDeleteThank you! My nails are actually quite ridged, I have to buff them and use ridge filling base coats to keep them looking smooth! Depends what I'm doing, if it's just one colour then probably 20/30mins start to finish. I use Seche Vite Dry Fast Topcoat, it's the only fast dry topcoat I've ever used because it works so well and leaves a super smooth shiny finish! :) x
DeleteThis is SO pretty! Such a perfect gradient, so smooth...
ReplyDelete(I'll try your 'damp sponge' technique for sure)
This is seriously wonderful. Love the glitter topcoat, it's the cherry on top!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazingly cute! I'd love to try, but I'd probably end up with brown somehow! haha ;)
